Jaime Ramírez Ortiz is an independent consultant in the energy sector, specializing in regulatory issues, nodal pricing and interconnection. He holds a degree in electrical engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Cd. Madero, with studies at CESI in Milan, and a Master’s degree in Electrical Power Systems from UNAM, where he received the award for the best master’s thesis at the national level.
With more than 30 years of experience in the CFE and as Deputy General Director of Generation in SENER, he has contributed in the evaluation of transmission projects and the promotion of smart grids in Mexico. As an independent consultant, he has defended an international arbitration in London and conducted pre-feasibility studies for more than 100 generation projects.
